Lactozym contains a combination of digestive enzymes which promote the digestion of lactose.
Lactose is a protein present in milk and its derivatives such as butter, cheeses, sour cream, etc., but also in many culinary preparations, in more or less “hidden” form (eg: dehydrated mash, bread, cereals. , sauces ...).
Synthesized by the digestive system, digestive enzymes allow the splitting of complex molecules into simple molecules that can be assimilated by the body. They are produced in the saliva, stomach and pancreas.
Indication
Each enzyme acts on a specific substrate, so we have identified three types:
Digestive enzymes usually have a name ending in "ASE", depending on the molecule they are transforming. For example, proteases digest proteins, lipases digest lipids, amylases digest starch.
- proteolytic enzymes that operate on proteins.
- glucolytic enzymes that operate on carbohydrates.
- lipolytic enzymes which operate on lipids.

The enzymes present in Ortho Lactozym :
- protease: enzyme which cuts the peptide bonds of proteins. They are also called: peptidase or proteolytic enzyme.
- lactase: enzyme which hydrolyzes lactose into glucose and galactose. It is also called galactosidase.
- lipase: water-soluble enzyme capable of carrying out the hydrolysis of ester functions and is specialized in the transformation of triglyceride (lipid) into glycerol and fatty acids (lipolysis).

Use
Take 1 to 2 capsules per day, before or during each meal which may contain or contain lactose.
Composition
For one capsule: 51mg of 630 BLGU * proteases, 13mg of 1000 ALU * lactases, 3mg of 630 FIP * lipases. Bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose. Anti-caking agent: magnesium stearate, colloidal silica. Capsule: hypromellose.
Special precautions
It is advisable to learn about the role of lactose in the diet.
